Ep 13 - I Created a Triathlete Book for Kids that Didn't Exist

On this week's episode of The 411 Live, we invited Nia Obotette to share her awesome story on how she became a triathlete and children's book author. She felt her life's purpose was to share her story of becoming a black, female triathlete after browsing far across the internet and noticing there was barely, if not zero, children's books about black girls doing such things like swimming, biking, or skiing.

In order to inspire, as she describes it, what a younger Nia would have wanted, she sought to create that book herself. She believes that if there is a book, or story, that you want to see but it hasn't been written, then be the one to write it! Everyone's story should be heard and represented in order to inspire and encourage our youth.
